After making his mark as a former driver in both FIA F3 and Indy NXT, Smith returned to Australia last year, where he participated in several races in the Trans Am series towards the end of the season.
This year marks a significant new chapter in his racing career as he steps into the world of Supercars, following in the footsteps of his uncle, Jack Smith, thanks to this fresh partnership with MSR in the second-tier racing category.
Matt Stone Racing is making a triumphant return to its Super2 origins this season, and Smith is now the second confirmed driver on the roster, joining Ayrton Hodson.
