Get ready for an exciting upgrade! The Haval Raptor SUV is about to take things to the next level with its new Plus variant, offering an impressive seven-seat option.
According to the Chinese MIIT, the Great Wall Motor's Haval Raptor plug-in hybrid SUV is expanding its horizons with a larger model, known as the Haval Raptor Plus or Haval Raptor V7 Plus. This new addition to the family will be available in both five-seater and seven-seater configurations, providing more flexibility for drivers.
While the Haval Raptor Plus retains the overall design language of its predecessor, it boasts some subtle yet stylish updates. One notable change is the upgraded solid white panel on the front fascia, just below the "HAVAL" logo, which now features a smaller font for a more refined look. The rear taillights remain unchanged, maintaining a sense of familiarity.
But here's where it gets interesting: the Haval Raptor Plus is designed with a longer wheelbase, stretching to 2850 mm compared to the current 2738 mm. This extra length translates to an overall length of 4912 mm or 4792 mm (including the rear spare tire), a width of 1950 mm, and a height of 1886 mm or 1905 mm. For reference, the 2026 Haval Raptor measures 4800 mm or 4680 mm in length, 1950 mm in width, and 1843 mm in height, and offers a five-seater layout.
Under the hood, the Haval Raptor Plus continues to utilize the reliable 1.5T Hi4 plug-in hybrid system, paired with a lithium iron phosphate battery. The 1.5T engine boasts an impressive maximum power output of 115 kW (154 hp) and can reach a top speed of 190 km/h. As for battery capacities, there are three options available: 23.7 kWh (weighing 186 kg), 44.7 kWh (250 kg), and 33.7 kWh (244 kg). These batteries offer pure electric ranges of 103-105 km, 188-191 km, and 145-147 km, respectively. The corresponding curb weights for these configurations are 2200-2115 kg, 2195-2280 kg, and 2185-2275 kg.
And this is the part most people miss: the electric motor specifications are still under wraps! We'll have to wait and see what surprises the Haval Raptor Plus has in store for us.
In terms of features, the panoramic sunroof is a standard inclusion, while lidar, side and rear cameras, side steps, and studs on the wheel eyebrows are optional configurations, allowing buyers to customize their Raptor Plus to their preferences.
